Samantha set up Bellissimo Singers in 2009. She trained at the Royal College of Music and Birmingham Conservatiore and currently sings with Welsh National Opera, where she has recently covered the Queen of the Night (Magic Flute) and Echo (Ariadne auf Naxos), Zerlina (Don Giovanni).
She has performed a number of lead roles for the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company and has also performed with companies such as Opera Europe, Holland Park Opera, Welsh National Opera, Kentish Opera, UCL Opera, Buxton Festival G&S Company, Guildford Opera and the British Youth Opera.
Recent international solo recitals include a evening of opera and light music at The Priory in the Dordogne, South West France.
Samantha sings regularly as a soloist for Choral Societies and at weddings and corporate events as well as solo recitals.
Alison trained at the Royal Irish Academy of Music and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and Cardiff International Academy of Voice, where she studied with Dennis O’Neil.
She has sung for Grange Park, Opera Ireland, Anna Livia Opera Company, Castleward Opera and WNO. Roles include: Dorabella (Cosi fan tutte), Mercedes (Carmen), Giovanna (Rigoletto), Third Lady (Magic Flute), Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus), Composer (Ariadne auf Naxos).
Alison is currently training with ENO on ENO Opera Works. In 2011 Alison will sing the roles of Mrs Nolan in The Medium with Northern Ireland Opera & Second Movement and Suzuki in Madame Butterfly with Opera up Close.
Alison is also in demand as a sacred and oratorio singer in both Ireland and the UK.
Amanda studied at RCM with Margaret Cable. She currently studies with Miriam Bowen.
She currently sings with WNO. She has broadcast for BBC Radio 3 and has sung solos at Royal Albert Hall & Purcell Room in London; St David’s Hall, Cardiff; City Hall, Glasgow. TV appearances include Flora La traviata & Lolo, Merry Widow for S4C. She has also been in a documentary about the composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor for HTV Wales. Concert work includes Elijah; St Matthew & St John Passion; Beethoven Mass in C; Nelson Mass; Messiah; Mozart's C Minor Mass & Requiem. Operatic roles: 2nd Squire Parsifal, Dryad Ariadne auf Naxos, Mercedes Carmen, Feklusha Katya Kabanova, Flora La traviata, Lolo The Merry Widow; 3rd Bird, The Sacrifice; 2nd Lady The Magic Flute. Amanda also sings Jazz, and has performed extensively with the Reeves Jazz Trio in London.
Anitra, although starting her career in Australia with Opera Australia, has lived and worked in the UK for over 10 years. During this time she has worked with Glyndebourne Festival and Touring Opera, Raymond Gubbay Productions, English National Opera and Welsh National Opera. Apart from from her operatic work, Anitra regularly performs at corporate and private events, and is an experienced session singer for commercial recordings. She has performed the role of Barbarina in The Marriage of Figaro for WNO and In 2011, Anitra is singing the role of Ida in Die Fledermaus, for WNO.
Louise, currently sings with WNO. Opera roles include Rosette (Manon), Glasha & Feklusha (Katya Kabanova), The Forester’s Wife (Cunning Little Vixen), Maddalena (Rigoletto), Filipyevna (Eugene Onegin), Dido (Dido & Aeneas), Carmen (Carmen), Meg Page (The Merry Wives of Windsor), Frau Kost (Cabaret), Mrs Honour (Tom Jones), Mrs Kneebone (The Dinner Engagement), Popova (The Bear), Hansel (Hansel & Gretel), Bianca (The Rape of Lucretia) and Olga (Eugene Onegin), and Poppea (L’incoronazione di Poppea) for which she was awarded the Paul Simm prize for opera.
Louise has worked for Garsington Opera, BYO, Nationale Reisopera, Hollan, Scottish Opera & Raymond Gubbay.
Louise performs regularly as an alto soloist in Oratorio works throughout the country, the most recent notable to date being a programme of Purcell & Arne for HRH Prince of Wales at Highgrove
Katherine is in great demand as a soloist and orchestral player throughout the United Kingdom. Playing regularly with the Orchestra of Welsh National Opera, she has accompanied many great singers including - Bryn Terfel, Lesley Garrett, Dennis O’Neill and Jose Carreras. She can be heard on recordings by artists including Bryn Terfel and Sir Simon Rattle, as well as recording with more contemporary artists such as the Manic Street Preachers."
